If you want to come fact to face with an alligator or other Louisiana swamp residents, some friendly some a little scary then this is a great tour for you. The tour is located 25 minutes outside of New Orleans and will allow you to explore the wonderful wildlife and plant life that live in and along the Louisiana bayous. You have two tour transports to pick from the Swamp Tour and the Airboat Tour.
The Swamp Tour is slower paced and more suitable for children. You will be escorted on a coast guard certified swamp boat by a native guide who will happily tell you many tales about the area's history and residents. This tour lasts 2 hours and runs daily. Prices for children start at 15 US dollars per child and prices for adults start at 21 US dollars per adult.
The airboat tour will speed you on an exciting adventure through the Louisiana swamps introducing you to snakes, alligators and other creatures that make their home here. This tour is more suitable for adults though older children may also enjoy it. Children under 8 are not permitted on the airboats. The tour runs daily for about 2 hours and prices start at 45 US dollars per adult.

New Orleans Ghost Expeditions
We have placed this activity in our tour section, as it is the best place for however it cannot really be considered a tour. The New Orleans Ghost Expedition is an experience that you have full participation in. It is a real ghost hunt. You will be taken to a known haunted location, lead by experienced paranormal guides. This is a wonderful hands on experience where you can learn how to find ghosts and maybe you will actually see one. This activity is not for the faint hearted so be prepared. New Orleans Paddlewheels
Take a riverboat cruise aboard the Cajun Queen or the Creole Queen, two very luxurious riverboats that can be fun for the whole family.
The Cajun Queen will cruise you through the harbor in a 1 hour tour where you will hear about the local legends and famous landmarks. You will be able to enjoy some lovely views of the city and see the busy New Orleans Port at work. The Habor Cruise costs 15 US dollars per adult and for children age 6-12 the cost is 10 US dollars per child.
Aboard the Creole Queen you can head down the Mississippi river on the Battlefield Cruise. You will be taken to the location of the Battle of New Orleans which occurred in 1815, along with getting some great views of the city as you make your way down the river. It is a great opportunity to learn a lot of history about the area and visit one of the area's most interesting historical sites. Prices range from 20 -27 US dollars per adult depending on if you choose to have lunch or not and 12-17 US dollars for children age 6-12 depending if the lunch option is chosen or not.
