UCM Museum Near New Orleans
Just north of New Orleans you will find this weird and wonderful museum. The UCM Museum contains thousands of objects that have been found in the southern United States, plus they have many home made inventions that are sure to fascinate you.
Exhibits include a giant model alligator, a miniature animated Mardi Gras scene, post card collections, old license plates, and the house of shards which is a house made up of thousands of pieces of glass, tiles and pottery. You will also see a number of strange vintage bicycles. But the above mentioned are only a couple of the thousands of items on display.
The museum gift shop is much like the exhibits themselves. You will be able to pick from hundreds a great and original souvenirs. The museum is open everyday from 10am to 5pm.
